Antique Caucasian Shirvan rug classic medallion design.

Circa 1880.

An interesting Shirvan rug with the field filled with a row of large medallion, these are surrounded by hooked medallions and floral rosettes. It is most unusual to find a rug of this type with a Kufic style border.

The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
