It features the iconic “Dragon design”, where ancient mythic symbols have evolved into bold, serrated geometric forms surrounding large hexagonal medallions. What distinguishes this piece is its large Roomsize stature 315cm x 270cm and being dated with the year 1316-1898 appearing both in formal central cartouches & in the field which is unusual. The weave itself is fine, not shaggy underneath as of many Sumaks, it displays a disciplined tidy back.
