This is a really handsome antique silver plated and oak salad bowl. Round in shape with a crimped silver plated mount to base and upper rim below silver plated bands. Two shaped handles either side. A loopy shield engraved with the word Salad is centrally placed. Retains its original cream ceramic liner and a pair of oak handled silver plated salad servers. This is sold in original plate with lots of brass showing through. This has a rustic appeal. c.1880 British made with a mark stamped to the lower rim.
