. Raised on claw feet with classical architecturally-inspired details and gadrooned edges . Twin acanthus-leaf wrapped handles to the sides , the tap and spout with a bone-mounted handle .

The front with and inset silver panel with a skilfully engraved noble or aristocratic cypher or coat of-arms bearing the motto “Fortitudine Vincit “ ( Strength Conquers) .
The front edge bearing the punched twin star or sun mark of the esteemed manufacturer Matthew Boulton & Company. The firm based at Soho House , Birmingham were leading producers of this type of high quality ware using a process of fused silver and copper sandwiched sheets first developed and pioneered in Sheffield during the C18th .
In excellent original condition.
