The multiple stripe border design is very attractive, this is also found on some Kula rugs of a similar age, note the outer border of carnation flowers.The rug is in fair condition with wear, heavy in places and medium / low pile with a few areas of foundation showing. There are a few scattered old re-weaves and repairs as one would expect with a rug of this age, both ends have tape applied.The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
