Neat Victorian Silver Cigar Cutter Chester 1895

19th century
Description

A fine, Victorian silver cigar cutter in good working order.  The two cutting blades are sprung, and push together to slide out.  Hallmarks are visible on both sides for Chester 1895, along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker's  mark: Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings. There is a good loop at the top for attachment to pocket watch chain or keyring

 

Great gift for a Cigar Smoker or collector of Chester silver. 

 

Condition:  In super overall condition.  

 

Hallmarks:  Chester 1895

 

Measurements:  Length when closed 3 cm (not including loop).

Weight:  14.4 grams
