A very interesting and decorative silver Ewer. The Ewer is of classical form with repousse decorated body and foot and a fine cast silver handle. The decorative style is very interesting, the pattern to the body seems to almost imitate a pineapple. The cast handle is more traditionally rococo in style with asymmetric scrolls and floral motifs. The piece is marked to the base as 900 silver with the makers mark of ‘M.Y.’ I have been unable to identify this mark. The whole is in excellent condition and a very interesting and decorative piece of antique silver.
