Rare English Sterling Silver Worshipful Company of Founders Vesta Case Livery Co

1900 - 1920
Description

A rare English antique solid sterling silver vesta case. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1909 with the makers mark being that of A & J Zimmerman Ltd (Arthur & John Zimmerman). It has been superbly designed with the front depicting the crest of Worshipful Company of Founders and the back reading 'PRESENTED BY SYDNEY. R. POLLARD MASTER 23rd NOV 1909'. It is in good condition being free from holes splits and repairs, small ding on top corner - see photo. It works perfectly with a strong mechanism and is clean and gilded inside. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.2cm) tall by 1.25 inches (3.2cm) wide and weighs 18 grams. A rare example.
