Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
(The Greenock Assay Office was hallmarking until 1836 when it was then moved to Edinburgh or Glasgow for hallmarking). This dates the ladle 1800 -1836.

The ladle is a plain polished silver the only engraving being initials to the top of the ladle terminal 'WM'.
A lovely interesting item, great for a collector of Scottish Greenock silver!
Condition: In great antique condition, no marks on the silver or denting (see images).
