Very Rare English Sterling Silver Royal Navy Bosuns Whistle 1910 Antique Chester

1900 - 1920
Description

A very rare English solid sterling silver Royal Navy Bosuns whistle. It is hallmarked for Chester 1910 with the makers marks being that of Haseler Brothers (Edward John Haseler & Noble Haseler). It has been superbly made being decorated with a leaf design and the Royal Navy anchor crest. It in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs, faint discolouration on one side mid way, could be an old repair but looks to be the way it was made - see final photo. It whistles well. It measures approx. 5.25 inches (13.5cm) long by 1 inch (2.6cm) and weighs 16 grams. A superbly made rare piece.

Declaration

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
