An antique silver plated folding biscuit box or biscuit warmer. Made by Fenton Brothers. c1880 British made. Their makers mark is stamped underneath together with Stanforths Patent. This box is of a handbag style in design with a shell decoration to the sides. Opens to reveal two grilles that raise and drop into place. Original gilding to the inside. Sold in original plate with little wear.
