Large Antique Silver Plated Wmf C1890 Fruit Basket

19th century
Description

An antique silver plated basket for fruit. Made by WMF c1890. Their makers mark is stamped on the lower rim. Round in shape, standing on a pedestal base. This basket has a wirework vertical decoration to the lower half with beaded swags over roundels on a pierced band to the upper part. Swing handle is also bead mounted. Retains its original blue glass liner. Sold in original plate with virtually no wear.

Diameter: 21.5 cm (8.5")

Height excluding handle: 12 cm (4.5”)
