Description

Here is a handsome antique silver plated tea kettle on stand. Standing on four fluted pad feet. The skirt is pierced with a cast decoration of flowers and leaves below. Two chains and pins are attached to the base which slide into the hinges for retention. The teapot is heavily embossed all over with flowers leaves and lattice work. Vacant cartouche. c1880 British made with a makers mark stamped underneath for W G Sissons of Sheffield. This has been resilvered.

This has been registered with Government U.K. as made before 3 March 1947 with less than 10% ivory. The teapot has small ivory insulators on the handle. Exemption certificate submission reference: UBZYBLMQ
