Georgian Military Sterling Silver Lincoln Mess Serving Spoon 1808 Napolionic War

Description

A rare English Georgian, Napoleonic War era, antique solid sterling silver serving spoon. It is hallmarked for London 1808 with the makers marks being that of William Eley I, William Fearn & William Chawner. It has been superbly made to what is termed the Old English Pattern and has been engraved 'ROYAL SOUTH LINCOLN MESS'. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 9 inches (22.5cm) long by 1.75 inches (4.5cm) wide and weighs 72 grams. A very nice quality interesting early example.
