Size: 5ft 4in x 2ft 9in (162 x 85cm).Antique Baluch camel ground prayer rug a design that is typical of the Sarakhs Baluch of Khorasan.Circa 1880.The rug is beautifully drawn with a tree of life and has excellent colour, the camel wool ground is very soft. Of particular note is the human figure at the top of the tree just below the mihrab, the hand placements are also filled with large hands. The rug retains part of the original decorated end finishes at both ends.The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear, and good pile. There is some wear to the goat hair side bindings and slight losses to the end kilims.
