Description

A very fine and stylish solid silver hair pin box. The shape is half barrel style with four attractive legs and a spring loaded hinged lid which is decorated with an image of an Edwardian hair pin. Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1904, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker's mark for the silversmith: Henry Clifford Davies.

A lovely item to stand on one's dressing table! In great antique condition.
