Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Fiddle Pattern Fish Slice - 1840

Description

An antique Victorian sterling silver fish slice which has been made in the fiddle pattern style with a long plain handle which is comfortable to hold. The pierced silver serving slice is particularly attractive and has been designed with pretty detailing around the edges and three fish motifs in the centre of the body. This silver fish slice would make an interesting addition to a fiddle pattern canteen and would be perfect to use.

Height: 4.7 cms (1.9")

Length: 30.5 cms (12")

Width: 7 cms (2.8")

Weight: 5 troy ounces (156 grams)

It was hallmarked in London for 1840 by John James Whiting and remains in excellent condition.
