Stunning Early Victorian Sterling Silver Card Case 1865 Antique Engine Turned

Description

A beautiful English antique solid silver card case. It is hallmarked for London 1865 with the makers mark being that of William Summers. It has been superbly made being engine turned to the front and back with the cartouche to the back being vacant and the one on the front being engraved with initials which look to be SH. It is in superb condition being free from dings holes and repairs, gilded inside. It measures approx. 4 inches (9.8cm) tall by 2.75 inches (7.2cm) wide and weighs 92 grams. A superbly designed beautifully clean example.

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
