Description

This is an exquisite Edwardian silver lidded amethyst glass small vanity jar. The cylindrical glass body a beautiful rich colour. The pull-off solid silver lid fitted on a fully hallmarked silver neck. The inner lid with original gilt wash. The neck fitted with a clear glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

Makers marks partially rubbed but identifiable

WH&S for William Hutton & Sons.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "f" for 1905.

Dimensions:

Height: 8cm / 3 inches.

Diameter: 4.5cm / 1.6 inches.

Condition:

Very good.

Glass in perfect condition.

Lid in very good condition.

Original gilt interior.
