Fine pair of George II shell corner cast silver table candlesticks.
Hallmarked to each underside for London 1752, along with the maker’s mark for the specialist candlestick maker John Cafe.
The capitals also marked with the lion passant.
All hallmarks clear with some wear to the marks on the capitals.
Unmarked, original conforming shell cornered square shaped, good tight fitting removable sconces.
These candlesticks are of the very highest quality, of robust gauge, good colour and patina.
All in excellent condition, all original with no damage or repair.
The hallmarks to the underside very crisp & clear.
Height 8,1/4'' or 210mm, gross weight 1072 grams or 34.5 troy ounces.
