Description

A rare German Hanau solid sterling swan salt or pin cushion. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark along with the makers mark of J D Schleissner Sohne. It has superbly designed being cast and internally gilded. It is in superb condition being free from splits. It measures approx. 2.75 inches (7cm) long beak to tail by 1.5 inches (3.6cm) wide by 1.75 inches (4.3cm) tall and weighs 36 grams. A very good quality well made piece.

The Silver Squirrel has dated this piece to the 1920s.
