Description

A stunning and rare Indian solid sterling silver tankard. It is hallmarked with the makers of Cooke & Kelvey and I would date it to c1920. It has been beautifully designed in a Arts & Crafts style with the inside being gilded. It is super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 4.75 inches (12cm) tall by 4.75 inches (12cm) across the top including the handle and 3.25 inches (8.7cm) excluding it and 4 inches (10.2cm) across the base. It is heavy weighting 390 grams. A superbly made rare piece.
