A rare English solid sterling silver arts and crafts dish or bowl, possibly for displaying grapes. It is hallmarked for London 1934 with the maker’s marks being that of Searle & Co Ltd. It has been beautifully handmade being plannished and the bowl engraved with a leaf design, the underside of the bowl has been engraved 'Presented by the Grocer's Company to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V'. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.5cm) tall by 6 inches (15.2cm) across the top and 2.75 inches (7.3cm) across the base and weighs 244 grams. A beautifully designed interesting piece.
