A pretty hallmarked English Silver gilt embossed Sauceboat, by Thomas Shepherd, London, 1775.

The exterior is extensively embossed and etched with elaborate garlands of leaves and flowers, with further ovoids around the rim. It has an elaborate handle and is supported on three ‘hoof’ feet.

Good clear hallmarks to the underside: Thomas Shepherd, London, 1775.

Dimensions: Length: 6.5 inches. Width: 3.25 inches, Height: 3.75 inches (16.5 x 8,25 x 9.5 cm)

Weight: 5.5 ozs (156 g)
