Stunning 144g American Sterling Silver Arlington Pattern Serving Ladle C1890

Description

A beautiful American solid sterling silver gilt serving ladle. It is hallmarked STERLING along with the makers mark of Towle silversmiths, this mark was from c1890. It has been superbly designed with the bowl being gilded and decorated with flowers and the handle being ornately decorated with what is termed the Arlington pattern. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs, engraved handle reverse. It measures approx. 10 inches (25cm) long by 3.5 inches (8.6cm) wide and weighs 144 grams. A beautifully made example.
