Miniature Silver Gilt Replica of Coronation Throne Birm' 1936

Description

This piece is a wonderful miniature replica of the Coronation Throne (the medieval wooden chair that is housed in Westminster Abbey, often known as St Edward's Throne , on which the monarch sits to be crowned). Solid silver gilt , the detail is superb and it is in great condition. The chair bears the clear crisp hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office, dated 1936, Lion passant indicating the finest sterling and the silvermaker's mark: Barker Brothers Silver Ltd,

 

A lovely item for a collector, could be used in a dolls house or palace and is in super condition.

 

Measurements: Height: 7cm Width: 4 cm Depth: 2.2 cm Weight: 32.6 grams
