The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
It is clearly hallmarked for London 1783, with the maker's mark for William Plummer.
The arms adjust inwards to suit the size of the dish that is resting upon it. The backs of the dish rests are also beautifully decorated. The silver is in excellent condition and it is a very practical antique!
