Rare 78g Exeter Sterling Silver Thomlinson Family Crested Fork 1856 Antique

Description

A rare Victorian solid sterling silver fork. It is hallmarked for Exeter 1856 with the maker’s marks being that of Josiah Williams & Co (James & Josiah Williams). It has a tradition design having a fiddle pattern handle that has been engraved with a crest used by the Tomlinson family. It is in very good condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 8 inches (20.5cms) long by over 1 inch (2.8cms) wide and weighs 78 grams. A rare example.
