A beautiful Danish solid silver gilt baptism or christening spoon. It is hallmarked with the Three Towers silver mark and the date 1918, the Assay Masters mark of Christian F Heise and the makers mark of Peter Hertz. It has been beautifully designed being decorated to both sides of the bowl and has a very ornate handle. It would have been used by a priest or vicar possibly presented to the child after the christening / baptism. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 7 inches (18cm) long by 2.75 inches (7cm) wide and weighs 74 grams. A beautifully made rare piece.
