A beautiful Danish solid sterling silver gilt baptism or christening spoon (used for the ceremony). It is hallmarked 925 standard along with the makers mark VC and it dates to c1910. It has been beautifully designed being decorated to both sides of the bowl and has a very ornate handle. It is in super condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 6.75 inches (17cm) long by 2.75 inches (7cm) wide and weighs 74 grams. A beautifully made rare piece.
