The lamp has aged beautifully. Re wired and PAT safety tested.
Overall height as a freestanding lamp 57cm high.
Notes on the Company: In the late 1890's Birkett worked as a metalwork at the Birmingham Guild, before later joining the Faulkner Bronze Company which went on to become Jesson, Birkett & Co in 1904. The ‘horn’ lamp features in lighting catalogues from the firm under the model no E490. The firm continued to make the most exquisite copper and mixed metal items including light fittings up to the closing of the company in 1910.
