Beautiful French Solid Silver Stork Box C1840 Antique 24g

19th century
Description

beautiful French solid silver box. It is hallmarked with the French boars head mark, I would date it to c1840 possibly earlier. It has been beautifully made with the lid being engraved with the image of a stork. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The hinge works perfectly, the inside is clean and gilded with the lid closing tight. It measures approx. 1 inch (2.6cm) tall by 1.75 inches (4.5cm) across by 1.5 inches (3.6cm) wide and weighs 24 grams. A beautifully made very good quality piece.
