Rare English Sterling Silver Tea Infuser Spoon Strainer 1898 Victorian Novelty

Description

A rare English solid sterling silver TEAETTE tea strainer, infuser spoon. It has been hallmarked for London 1898 with the makers marks being GG. It has been superbly made being having an unusual pieced hinged bowl for holding the tea leaves. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs and works well. It measures approx. 5.5 inches (14.2cms) long by 1.5 inches (3.2cms) wide and weighs 26 grams. A very well made rare piece.
