English Sterling Silver Pyx Holy Communion Wafer Box 1940 Religious Antique

Description

A rare English solid sterling silver pyx or holy communion wafer box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1940 with the makers marks being BO&W. It has been simply yet beautifully made and internally gilded. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 2 inches (4.8cms) across by 0.75 inches (2.2cms) tall and weighs 37 grams. A nice quality unusual piece.
