Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Toast Rack - 1909

Description

An antique Edwardian sterling silver six sectioned toast rack which has a plain boat shaped body with gadroon decoration around the borders, six wide sections to house the toast and resting on four detailed feet. The removable gallery rests neatly on the silver tray which is perfect for catching any residue bread crumbs. This fine silver toast rack would be ideal to use on the breakfast table and would make an acceptable gift. It has been made to a high standard and weighs 11.7 troy ounces (363 grams).

Height: 8.3 cms (3.2")

Length: 24.6 cms (9.6")

Width: 10 cms (3.9")

It was hallmarked in Sheffield for 1909 by James Dixon & Sons and remains in excellent condition.
