Description

These good quality French bronze candlesticks are adorned with acanthus leaf decoration, have reeded tapering stems and sit on tri-form concave bases. They are each made in 12 separate elements and the gilded bobeche are removable for ease of cleaning off candle wax.

The ormolu has been professionally cleaned to reveal its original bright and crisp finish and the patinated bronze is rubbed to the high points and has been lightly waxed to enhance and protect this nicely aged finish. Whilst the gilding to the gardrooned rim of the bobeche is in good bright condition the top part, around the candle hole, is somewhat dull and tarnished.
