Description

This is a superb 19th century Louis XVI style dressing table stool in beautiful clean condition dating from around 1895. The hand gilded finish to the carved wood frame is in excellent crisp condition with a delightful colour. The canework to the seat is perfect and is topped with a lovely squab upholstered cushion in a duck egg blue and gilt fabric that compliments the piece perfectly. The tapering reeded legs are topped by rectangular tablets with acanthus scrolls and a leaf carved border.

The stool is a very practical size measuring 90 cms by 40 cms by 57 cms high.
