A good oak roll top desk from the Edwardian period. With fielded (bevelled) panels almost always a sign of superior quality, this desk is equally at home on or off the wall with it''s polished finish all round. The interior is nicely fitted with pigeon holes and drawers and working lock to the tambour. It''s dark oak finish is original and has been refinished in place by a French Polisher where there was slight fading whilst keeping everything else original as possible. The piece breaks into three main pieces for easy transportation and will go through the narrowest of doorways for room access. In the course of their lives all tambours weaken and eventually break and as such all of our roll top desks have the tambours either strengthened or completely re-backed. Height to Worktop - 77cm = 30 1/4 inches Kneehole Height - 62cm = 24 1/4 inches Width 50cm = 19 3/4 inches
