Delightful Heavy Gauge Small Edwardian Silver Cream Jug

1900 - 1920
Description

A small, nicely proportioned Edwardian solid silver Cream Jug. A most attractive shape, including a pretty handle with a charming border to the rim at the top and bottom. Clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1902 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver , along with the maker's mark for the silversmith: Lee & Wigful.

 

Condition: The jug is in lovely condition.

 

Hallmarks: Sheffield 1902 by Lee & Wigful.

 

Measurements: Height (to top of handle): 7.5 cm Width: Handle to spout: 10.5 cm

 

Depth: 7.3 cm Weight: 109.6 grams (good heavy weight).
