A beautiful Edwardian Art Nouveau solid sterling silver sugar caster or shaker. It is hallmarked for London 1906 with the maker’s marks being that of James Aitchison. It has been superbly designed having a curving shape and broad beautifully pieced lid. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The lid fits tight, the inside is nice and clean. It measures approx. 6.25 inches (16cms) tall by 2.75 inches (7cms) at its widest and weighs an impressive 142 grams. A very well designed example.
