We dont recall having seen a stool similar to this before, it is from around 1900 and is in lovely condition. Wood is cleaned and finished in a dark walnut tone with the seat freshly upholstered for sale in a beige stripe damask. The seat is adjustable up and down and is suitable for numerous uses, from a dressing table to a piano stool to an occasional desk chair. For people of differing height it could be a godsend. Under the seat is an area for magazines or perhaps music sheets or what ever else one might want to save. There is a carved shaped facing under the seat itself which is a nice little feature and all the spindles are in place. Seat is 44cms wide and adjustable in height,, overall dimensions below.
