Unusual German Gimbal Lantern Table Lamp

1900 - 1920
Description

A most unusual early 20th century German carriage of gondola gimbal lamp, mounted on cast iron base. The lantern, originally fitted for candles has been very cleverly converted to electricity. The lantern retains its original painted finish, with German patent / design plaque. Circa 1920-1930.

Wired in period style braided flex and PAT safety tested.
