Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Sugar Basket - 1901

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar basket which has attractive pierced decoration to the oval and curved shaped body, a swing handle also with patterned detailing and resting on a shaped pedestal foot. There is a blue glass liner, which remains in excellent condition, that fits snugly within the body. This lovely silver basket would look decorative on the table and would be ideal to use.

It weighs 5.2 troy ounces (162 grams) without the glass liner.

Height (to top of handle): 14.5 cms (5.7")

Length: 13.8 cms (5.4")

Width: 10 cms (3.9")

It was hallmarked in London for 1901 by Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater and remains in excellent condition.
