Rare Victorian Silver Picnic Condiment Set by Asprey and Retailed by Leuchars

Description

A rare Victorian solid silver picnic condiment set by Charles & George Asprey, fully hallmarked for London 1891, retailed by Leuchars of Piccadilly London. A wonderful accessory in superb condition, having been professionally polished. The three compartments all unscrew to hold salt, pepper and mustard. The pepper and mustard with removable lids. The salt appears to have originally had a lid, but does not detract as the main cover lid acts as a cover for this compartment. There is a small split in the thread of this salt compartment but does not detract from this fine quality piece, see attached photographs or telephone and we would be delighted to discuss in greater detail.

An excellent weight and gauge of silver at 210 grams
