Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
All bear clear hallmarks: Napkin Ring for Sheffield 1890, with slightly later date on fork and spoon: Sheffield 1891 and all with the maker's mark for Martin, Hall & Co. (Although the date marks vary they are all the same design and have probably always been the original set.) The Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver is also very clear. This set is free from any engraved initials.

A wonderful and impressive set as a gift for a Christening or new baby. The silver is in lovely condition as is the original case.
