Description

Birmingham 1897 English hallmarked solid silver large trinket dish or tray with the famous very detailed repousse Reynolds Angels design to centre, nestled in the clouds. Made by Henry Matthews, well known maker of such dressing table goods.

Wrythen edges surround the oval design with the collectable Reynold's Angels to centre, within the clouds, adorned by foliate design to sides.

The decoration and hallmarks are very crisp.

Size-generous at 5.75 inches long by 4 inches wide by 3.8 inches high.

Weight-heavy at 70 grams.

A lovely and romantic tray to use for jewellery or trinkets on dressing table or desk. Or, could also be used for sweets and nuts if desired.

This is in very good condition, and would make an excellent gift.
