A rare Belgian Georgian era solid silver fish slice or server. It is hallmarked with the Belgium 800 fineness mark and warranty mark both used from 1831 to 1868 along with a makers mark. I would date this to c1830's (the late Georgian early Victorian period in England). It has been superbly made having a wooden handle and engraved and pierced server. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs, slight wear to the handle edge. It measures approx. 14.5 inches (36.8cms) long by 2.75 inches (7cms) wide and weighs 110 grams. A very high quality rare example.
