Description

A fine pair of Irish Elizabeth II sterling silver wine labels which have large shaped bodies with interesting decoration on the bodies and chains at the top with ring attachments to fit over the bottle necks. One label is for "Irish Whiskey" and has a citrine coloured glass stone set in the body and the other label is for "Port" and has a ruby coloured glass stone set in the body. These wonderful labels were made by Cosmacs Ltd. who operated from Ennis Road in Limerick between 1958 to 1964 and they still have the original Cosmacs details on the reverse. These labels would make a useful addition to a collection and would be perfect to use. They weigh 4.2 troy ounces (131 grams) in total.

Width of label: 7.2 cms (2.8")

They were hallmarked in Dublin for 1959 by Cosmacs Ltd. and remain in excellent condition.
