An 18th Century Italian Painted Altar Candlestick Table Lamp

Description

A mid 18th century Italian altar candlestick in painted wood and subsequently wired for electricity, the urn shaped upper part with lobes and stiff leaves on a capstan over a triangular section waisted plinth base carved to one face with a flower, on outswept feet. Italian circa 1730.

Condition: excellent, the lamp is stable and has been rewired using braided flex (2m+) and new bulbholder and plug with a 3amp fuse.
