Rare George IV Sheffield Solid Sterling Silver Sugar Crusher 1828 Antique 18g

Description

A superb rare Georgian English solid sterling silver sugar crusher. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1828 with the makers mark being partial struck. It has been simply designed having a flat end designed for crushing sugar, cut into chunks from a sugar loaf at this time, and a loop terminal. The crushing end has been engraved with the single initial R. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 5.25 inches (13.1cms) long by 0.75 inch (2cms) across the end and weighs 18 grams. A superb rare example.
